The lives of several couples and singles in New York intertwine over the course of New Year's Eve. Review: New Years Eve was the perfect feel good movie. It has everything from romance to heartbreak. With the all star cast you can't help but have high expectations and mine were met. Lea's singing was amazing as was Bon Jovi's and I could not help but giggle when Zac and Michelle were cast together and share a kiss as all i could think of was them in Hairspray. This movie shows us the good and the bad of everyday life. It shows the hope that people should and do hold onto and that you should look forward and embrace the new year not think of all the bad that has happened in the present year. Hector's role in this movie was awesome and such a fantastic way to make the audience laugh as was the baby having competition between the two couples. This movie is full of clichés and cheesiness however it is exactly that which will charm the audience and make you come out of the cinema with a smile and perhaps a few ideas of what you will do for you new years.

Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga\'Hoole surprised me. I was expecting a childish movie, but this in fact is for a much more mature audience, kids will not like it for sure as it is really dark. Snyder stays in lieu of his previous films with his infamous slow motion effect. The visual effects are absolutely dazzling, it nearly looks real down to the feathers. it is in fact one of the most biggest visual masterpiece ever, extraordinary splendid special effects. In short, it\'s one of the best animated films of the year. It\'s the perfect movie to bring your family (and maybe friends as well) and enjoy. Have no worries, sit back, and enjoy the ride. And seeing it in 3D is a plus, no matter what anyone else says. The ending also hints at a sequel. Hope that\'s a possibility as Warner Bros. has a potential new family franchise at their hands. And I hope Snyder returns as well. Story-wise, it\'s obviously unoriginal, but it is told very well. This is due to the animation, which is absolutely, spectacularly stunning. He\'s been preaching, giving exorcisms and involved with the church since he was a child. But as time goes on, his beliefs falter, and he is left simply going through the motions. He firmly believes that exorcisms aren\'t real, and he sets out to prove this, via a documentary. He gets a letter from a father in Louisianna, who believes that his daughter is being possessed. So, Cotton decides this is the one he will prove himself on, and heads out the door to Louisianna.
When he arrives at Marcus\' house, he goes through all the initial acts, listening to stories and bull-sh*ting himself to an honest man, who is scared for his daughter. All the tests go as planned, and Cotton\'s staged exorcism is set to commence. Through a set of cleverly arranged trip lines and magnets, Cotton performs a very entertaining exorcism, and gets the family to believe he has abolished the demon. He leaves the family satisfied, fully confident that he has proved why exorcisms are all in the mind. Cotton\'s exorcism was undoubtedly funny, from the fake demon noises to the over the top performance from Cotton himself. Just like what you\'d see from the book.
