Early in the 19th century, the USS Constitution is released as part of an effort to stop piracy in the Mediterranean. At the same time, a boy established to visit sea is befriended by the bos 'n of the seller ship Esther, and also he joins her staff. When the Esther reaches the Mediterranean, she too, in addition to the Constitution, ends up being associated with the battle versus the pirates.
