The Apprentice (US): Donald Trump returns for an eighth season in the boardroom. Joining him are sixteen new celebrity candidates vying for the title of the Celebrity Apprentice, as well as $250,000 for the charity of their choice. The celebrity candidates were divided into two teams: the men (who named their team Kotu, which stood for "Kings of the Universe") against the women (who named their team Athena after the Greek goddess of wisdom, beauty, and war). The first task was to create, bake, and sell cupcakes to the people of New York for money. Athena made more money for the win. Project Manager Joan Rivers made over $126,000 for her chosen charity as her reward. Kotu went to the boardroom, where Andrew Dice Clay was fired.
