Pokemon the Series: XY: Ash and friends arrive at Rubello Town, and May is delighted to see that a Pokémon Contest is due to begin the next day. Deciding to enter, May meets up with Drew, who is also entering with his new Masquerain, but Drew is soon surrounded by a lot of fans which makes May feel a little jealous. However, the jealously is forgotten when a group of fans approach her. Savannah, the head of the group, explains that they saw May in the Verdanturf Contest and that she will be entering this contest with her Lairon and Flareon, giving May a new rival in the contest. May and Savannah decide to have a practice battle, but Team Rocket appear. Because the contest is R1, meaning you need at least one ribbon to enter, Jessie is ineligible. To make up for this, she decides to steal a ribbon so she can enter.
