As would-be tow truck driver Eddie struggles to come up with the cash to repair his ailing truck, Broncula, his roommate Malcolm readies an audition tape he hopes will land him a radio sportscasting job. Just as Malcolm is settling down to tape his play-by-play of a televised basketball game, Eddie notices a commercial featuring get-rich-quick pitchman Bill Fontaine.
