Adam-12: Reed and Malloy help distribute donated Christmas gifts to needy families, including to Miss Ward's house, where they discover little Harvey wants only a yellow dump truck. After much discussion about how officers should not get involved, Malloy stops at a toy store and picks up a yellow dump truck. They deliver it to Miss Ward, only later her car, with all the toys in the trunk, is stolen. They chase down a very drunk driver, revisit the Beuhlers who like to yell at each other, then convince Sgt. Miller to let the yellow dump truck and toys be released from evidence after the car thief and car are found.
