Phoenix and Maya learn that Armstrong owes money to a loan shark. Our heroes visit the office of the loan shark in question and the one who impersonated Phoenix, Furio Tigre. Afterwards, the pair hear from Gumshoe about Tigre's relationship with Viola Cadaverini, the granddaughter of a mob boss, as well how Elg had planned to pay off a debt he owed to Tigrewith a computer virus had he not won the lottery.
